-Optionally: Automatic type & creator changer.
-Optionally: GM & GS Reset before playing each file.
Here are some of the settings you can change.
-Automatic Type & Creator Changer.
MidPlay will check if a loaded file is a standard MIDI file. If it is then it will automatically set the TYPE to "Midi" and the CREATOR to "Rmpy" if the file's TYPE is not already set to "Midi". The next time you use the file you will only need to double-click it to open it with MidPlay. This is a very useful function if you are downloading files from the Internet.
-Do a GM and/or GS Reset before playing every song.
Some files change these settings. This will change them back to the default, so that the next file will sound okay. The GM resent will set all channels back to piano. This is useful when playing files without program changes.

Translator's Note
This is a quick translation of the Japanese manual which is much more detailed.
I feel that Ken Funahashi's program is very user-friendly and easy to understand and a more detailed English manual is not needed. When I first saw this freeware program, I was impressed and wanted to make it available to a wider group of users, so with Mr. Funahashi's permission, I changed the menus and dialogs into English and wrote this short English manual. The translations may not be perfect, but you should still be able to use the program. I hope you enjoy using this program as much as I do.
